John sighting in on the John C. Garand National Match during the slow fire prone. Steve getting his Garand rifle ready for the match. Looking right down our line.
John getting rounds set up for his relay. There was a specific distraction on the range that was behind the firing line. I couldn't help but shoot photos of said distraction.
She redefined the term, "All guns safe towards the firing line!" I snuck up and took this just to see if she was really cute, and she was obviously just fair. I wasn't the only only looking at her, either. Note the spotting scopes all looking 60 degrees off the line...
In the middle of John's relay in the Garand Match, there was a long delay called. It was because the Army Golden Knights parachute team was doing a display for us. If you ask John, he would say he could have done without it in between his positions in his relay.
After the fairly boring "air show" Steve and John resumed their standing slow fire part of their match. As you can see, the sun was setting, and the targets were going into shadow downrange. As the Vikings can tell you, a good stretch before a battle can prevent long-term injuries!!!
John trying to be serious and resuming his match in the standing, off-hand. John resuming his match in the standing, off-hand. Tony, practicing his position.
Tony, still practicing and dry-firing. A look down the line from the end of the auxiliary Garand line. Same.
Tony, still practicing and dry-firing. A look down the line on the Garand line. A really cool close-up of Kristof and Tony with our Garands.
A nice shot of the Garand line. Tony trying to stand still on the Garand line after being on the range for 15 hours. Mike "Montana" Bennett trying to stand still and shoot the Garand off-hand shooting.
Tony, doing Zen breathing to try to relax and holding my rifle slack and trying to be as still as possible. We walked off the Garand line and this is what it looked like. We started at 0600 hours, and finished at 2100 hours.
