Fish
can be slippery little bastards. But yoga teacher G.P.
Vijaya Kumar didn't let that stop him from swallowing
509 fish through his mouth and then blowing them out
through his nose in the space of an hour.
Ananova reports that Kumar decided to
attempt the caper after watching an American man who
holds the record for expelling the longest single spaghetti
strand out of his nose with a single blow. "This
is a kriya (method) in yoga where the nostrils are purified
by swallowing fishes and bringing them out of the nose,"
he explained. "I swallow the fish and take deep
breaths to guide it through my nose. There are times
the fish might glide back to the mouth, but by inhaling
hard it can be brought up quickly."
